Form Conversion Rates Are Disappointing

image

Industry standards for shopping cart abandonments range from 25 to 75 percent. Form conversion numbers are even lower. Research has shown that form conversion rates can be as low as 10 percent.

Austin, T.X. (PRWEB) October 5, 2006 -- Driving traffic to a company website is incredibly important, but what is done with the traffic once they get there? New Direction Marketing, Inc.’s new flagship product, ReCapture ( http://www.recaptureyourclient.com), helps ensure that the traffic conversion rates are increased exponentially. Pay Per Click (PPC). Cost per Click (CPC). Search Engine Optimization (SEO). These are all buzzwords in today’s Internet society and business world. Studies have shown that form conversion rates are abysmal, ranging from under 10% to highs of 37%. These can be calculated through web statistic logs for overall traffic (1), the “contact us” or shopping cart page (2), and the number of email forms received or sales completed (3). If (2) divided by (3) is 20%, the form conversion rate is only 20%. This means that 80% of the prospects coming to a company website and taking the time to visit the contact or sale form is simply vanishing. Is that acceptable?

In the opinion of New Direction Marketing, the answer is no. The pure loss of information is not something that should be accepted. Most businesses track where traffic came from, how long they were on site, and what they were doing. They also track what items were sold, specific requests in forms, and what the end result was of a completion. What happens in between, however, goes missing. The technology exists to be able to recapture this information and target lost prospects. By maximizing the strength of the form design and the tracking details as prospective clients input them, it is possible to develop relationships with these prospects by simply contacting them with an offer of assistance. Rather than losing an interested shopper due to an uncontrollable variable, it is now possible to recapture them and extend a helpful hand.

This technology exists. It is now available. Don’t lose business and revenue simply because a prospect’s computer crashed or they were distracted. Call them - ReCapture them.
